Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater below 1.1 times

A warning for discharging wastewater exceeding technical standards for waste below 1.1 times.

Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater into the receiving source exceeding from 1.1 times to 1.5 times. Or discharging wastewater exceeding waste standards below 1.1 times.

If violated multiple times, the penalties will be as follows:

• Fine from 300,000 VND to 500,000 VND for discharging untreated wastewater less than 05 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 500,000 VND to 2,000,000 VND for discharging wastewater beyond regulations with a volume from 10 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 20 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 5,000,000 VND to 10,000,000 VND for the act of discharging wastewater incorrectly from 20 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 40 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 10,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND for discharging untreated wastewater with a volume from 40 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 60 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 20,000,000 VND to 40,000,000 VND for discharging wastewater incorrectly from 60 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 80 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 40,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND for the act of discharging untreated wastewater with a volume from 80 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 100 m³/day (24 hours).

Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater from 1.5 times to below 03 times

• For discharging wastewater less than 05 m³/day (24 hours), a fine from 1,000,000 VND to 5,000,000 VND will be imposed.
• Discharging wastewater beyond regulations with a volume from 05 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 10 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 5,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater beyond regulations from 10 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 20 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND.
• In case of discharging wastewater beyond regulations from 20 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 40 m³/day (24 hours), a fine from 30,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND will be imposed.
• Wastewater from 40 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 60 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 50,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater from 60 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 80 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 100,000,000 VND to 110,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater beyond regulations from 80 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 100 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 110,000,000 VND to 120,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater discharge from 100 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 200 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 120,000,000 VND to 130,000,000 VND.

Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater exceeding from 03 times to below 05 times

• Discharging wastewater less than 05 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater from 05 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 10 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 30,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater from 10 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 20 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 50,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 20 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 40 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 100,000,000 VND to 110,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 0 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 60 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 110,000,000 VND to 120,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 60 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 80 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 120,000,000 VND to 130,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater violating regulations from 80 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 100 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 130,000,000 VND to 140,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 100 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 200 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 140,000,000 VND to 150,000,000 VND.

Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater exceeding from 05 times to below 10 times

• Discharging wastewater less than 05 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater from 05 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 10 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 30,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND.
• Discharging wastewater from 10 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 20 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 50,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 20 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 40 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 100,000,000 VND to 110,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 0 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 60 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 110,000,000 VND to 120,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 60 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 80 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 120,000,000 VND to 130,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater violating regulations from 80 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 100 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 130,000,000 VND to 140,000,000 VND.
• Wastewater from 100 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 200 m³/day (24 hours) will be fined from 140,000,000 VND to 150,000,000 VND.

Punishment for discharging untreated wastewater exceeding 10 times or more

• Fine from 30,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND for discharging wastewater less than 05 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 50,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND for the act of discharging wastewater from 5 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 10 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 100,000,000 VND to 110,000,000 VND for the act of discharging untreated wastewater from 10 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 20 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 110,000,000 VND to 120,000,000 VND for the case of discharging wastewater from 20 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 40 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 120,000,000 VND to 130,000,000 VND if discharging wastewater from 40 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 60 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 130,000,000 VND to 140,000,000 VND for the case of discharging wastewater from 60 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 80 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 140,000,000 VND to 150,000,000 VND when discharging wastewater beyond regulations from 80 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 100 m³/day (24 hours).
• Fine from 150,000,000 VND to 160,000,000 VND for the case of discharging wastewater beyond regulations with a volume from 100 m³/day (24 hours) to less than 200 m³/day (24 hours).

Additional fines may apply depending on specific cases.

The total penalty for discharging wastewater into the environment shall not exceed 1,000,000,000 VND.
