What is a steel wastewater treatment tank?

It is a system used to treat wastewater from various sources, including industrial wastewater, household wastewater, etc. The tank is usually made of stainless steel (inox 304) or carbon steel (CT3), zinc-coated steel 430. Therefore, it has the ability to withstand acidic or alkaline environments of wastewater without corrosion.

Features

Material: Stainless steel, zinc-coated steel, carbon steel (Depending on customer requirements).

Fabrication technology: Ultrasonic welding technology in 2 layers. Therefore, ensuring the strength and tightness of the welds.

Outer coating with 2 - 3 layers helps increase oxidation resistance, reduce rusting, etc.

Produced on modern production lines, with a team of skilled mechanical engineers who understand the wastewater treatment process. Therefore, delivering high-quality products.

Benefits of using

  • The tank design is extremely compact, saving installation space compared to traditional tanks.
  • Quick and easy installation. Maintenance and servicing are also very simple.
  • Flexible design, ensuring aesthetics for constructions.
  • Integrates full wastewater treatment technologies. Helps remove all pollutants in wastewater.
  • Fully automated operation without the need for constant supervision.
  • Stainless steel material ensures high durability, good corrosion resistance, and long service life.

Structure of the steel tank

Regulation compartment

The regulation compartment balances and stabilizes the concentration of incoming and outgoing wastewater after treatment.

Here, the wastewater will be held for a certain period to regulate flow and characteristics before transferring to the next tanks.

Anoxic denitrification compartment

The Anoxic denitrification compartment's main function is to treat nitrogen and phosphorus through the process of nitrification and phosphoritization.

Here, a portion of COD and BOD will also be treated, making the water cleaner.

Aerobic treatment compartment

In the aerobic treatment compartment, there will be additional air blowers to supply oxygen to the wastewater through air distribution discs. This ensures a sufficient amount of dissolved oxygen in the water to create conditions for aerobic microorganisms to decompose complex and toxic organic matter into simple inorganic substances.

The oxygen concentration in the aerobic tank needs to be maintained above 2mg O2/L for stable system operation.

Sedimentation compartment

After biological treatment, the wastewater contains many inorganic impurities and suspended solids. Therefore, a sedimentation process is needed.

The sedimentation compartment is responsible for settling sludge under the influence of gravity. Some activated sludge will be returned to the Anoxic tank to maintain biomass. The excess will be periodically removed.

The water at the top will be sent to the water collection channel and flow to the disinfection compartment.

Disinfection compartment

The disinfection compartment is used to treat disease-causing bacteria before discharge. Here, a certain amount of disinfectant will be added to the tank.

Applications

Steel tanks are widely used in the following fields:

  • Domestic wastewater treatment.
  • Industrial wastewater treatment.
  • Wastewater treatment in clinics, hospitals, beauty salons.
  • Wastewater treatment in restaurants, hotels, homestays, resorts.
  • Wastewater treatment in schools, government agencies, office buildings, etc.

Currently, steel wastewater treatment tanks and composite tanks are two products widely trusted by various industries. We hope that the information about the concept, features, benefits, structure, and applications will help you understand more about this equipment and consider choosing the most suitable wastewater treatment solution.
